Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking an onsite Helpdesk/Desktop Support Specialist to image and deploy PCs, install OS, and provide end-user support. You will handle tickets, diagnose hardware/software issues, and collaborate with network admins on deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure tasks.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent (A+ helpful), and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with PC hardware, imaging, deployment, OS installs.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Perform PC system imaging, deployment, OS installation, and repair.

• Troubleshoot software/hardware failures and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and IoT devices.
• Collaborate with system and network admins for deployments and upgrades.

Work hours

Monday – Friday 1-5pm, 6-10pm (meal break 5-6pm) Onsite work.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform PC system imaging, Deployment, OS installation, and repair.
• Process Helpdesk tickets and provide end-user support.
• Troubleshot software and hardware failures and identify network problems related to desktop, laptop, printer, and IoT devices
• Collaborate with System and Network Administrators to support project deployments including software updates, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Manage and maintain inventory of desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and related hardware components.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience or A+ Certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills, Excellent verbal, and written communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• In-depth knowledge on PC and its components.
• Ability to dismantle, and re-assemble laptops and desktops
• Knowledge of Computer Networks and connectivity TCP/IP is a plus
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 is a plus
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced, hands-on team environment handling tasks/assignments which are moderately complex in nature.
• Must be able to lift equipment 50 lbs.

Salary: $24.00- $31.50/Hour
