Job Overview

Field Service Electronics Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining SEL's safety‑critical electronic products at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot high‑complexity electronic problems to the component level on SEL products.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL processes and products to ensure quality and integrity.
• Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel.
• Partner with other divisions to satisfy customer needs.

Qualifications

• Two‑year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor‑based electronics.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Experience working in an electronics lab environment and solving complex problems with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years experience in electronic design, manufacturing, or testing.
• Working knowledge of structured programming.
• Process improvement experience.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Sit and stand for at least eight hours.
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better.
• Ability to differentiate color.
• Use of computer keyboard devices.
• Reach, bend, and twist.

Location

Lewiston, ID – Position located in Lewiston, ID.

Compensation

Field Service Electronics Technician I: $32.88 – $48.60 per hour.
Field Service Electronics Technician II: $35.83 – $52.94 per hour.
Field Service Electronics Technician III: $40.50 – $59.85 per hour. Compensation commensurate with experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
