Job description

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot problems of high complexity down to the component level on SEL products.
• Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and products to ensure product quality and integrity.
• Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel.
• Partner with other divisions to satisfy the needs of our customers.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Enjoy working in an electronics lab environment and solving complex problems with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years experience in electronic design, manufacturing, or testing.
• Working knowledge of structured programming.

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Sit and stand for at least 8 hours.
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better.
• Ability to differentiate color.
• Use of computer keyboard devices.
• Reach, bend, and twist.

Location

West Lafayette, IN (closest to Purdue University). West Lafayette is situated directly across the Wabash River and is a short drive to Indianapolis and Chicago.

Compensation

• Field Service Electronics Technician I: $32.88–$48.60 per hour.
• Field Service Electronics Technician II: $35.83–$52.94 per hour.
• Electronics Technician III: $40.50–$59.85 per hour.
