Job summary

Interstates is seeking licensed electricians to join our Omaha-area team, performing industrial electrical work and coordinating BIM/VDC-based pre-planning on site. You will lead hands-on installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning, while coaching up to three apprentices or journeymen and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time turnover of records.

Qualifications

Must have state-issued journeyman electrician license (or equivalent).
Industrial electrical experience required.
Advanced training in electrical troubleshooting, testing, controls, service work, or commissioning required.
Knowledge of BIM/VDC Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily work for apprentices and journeymen while performing hands-on electrical work in the field each day.
Lead service and commissioning activities, including electrical installation, troubleshooting, testing, and startup support.
Develop short-term plans and coordinate access, outages, testing, materials, tools, and vendor support.
Ensure work meets Interstates safety, quality, and planning requirements.
Track progress against schedule and communicate constraints, risks, and significant issues to the foreman.
Review field documentation and verify commissioning and turnover records are complete and submitted on time.
Provide technical direction, coaching, and performance feedback to crew members.
Serve as the primary field contact for routine service and commissioning updates.
The ability to lead/develop up to 3 electricians
Knowledge of other construction trades
Ability to stand, walk ,and lift up to 100 lbs in construction work environment
Ability to climb, and maintain balance, on ladders and scaffolds while carrying tools
May be exposed to high and precarious places
Risk of electrical shock and outside weather conditions
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
