Job summary

Interstates is hiring for an Apprentice Electrician to join our field teams serving industrial facilities across the Omaha area. You will train under journeyman electricians, learn installation, wiring, and maintenance tasks, and gain hands-on experience installing conduit and raceways on active projects.

You’ll participate in a DOL-approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program, with opportunities to advance as you meter, wire, and troubleshoot equipment.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship program through a DOL-approved Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Certificate or AS degree in electrical technology, electrical construction, instrumentation or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using tape measure and power/hand tools.
• Install conductors in raceways and cable tray using manual and power equipment.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening wiring, conduit, and motors.
• Load, transport, and furnish journeyman and foreman electricians with materials and tools.
• Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and safety duties as required.
