Job summary

Interstates in Lincoln, NE is hiring electricians with journeyman license to support field teams on industrial electrical projects. You will coordinate apprentices, perform on-site electrical work, and lead service and commissioning activities across job sites.

The role requires BIM/VDC knowledge, ability to travel within a 200-mile radius around Omaha, and willingness to work 40-60 hours per week in varying site conditions. Interstates offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have state issued journeyman electrician license or equivalent.
• Industrial electrical experience required.
• Advanced training in electrical troubleshooting, testing, controls, service work, or commissioning.
• Knowledge of BIM/VDC Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work for apprentices and journeymen while performing hands‑on electrical work.
• Lead service and commissioning activities, including electrical installation, troubleshooting, testing, and startup support.
• Develop short‑term plans and coordinate access, outages, testing, materials, tools, and vendor support.
• Ensure work meets safety, quality, and planning requirements.
• Track progress against schedule and communicate constraints, risks, and significant issues to the foreman.
• Review field documentation and verify commissioning and turnover records are complete and submitted on time.
• Provide technical direction, coaching, and performance feedback to crew members.
• Serve as the primary field contact for routine service and commissioning updates.
• The ability to lead/develop up to 3 electricians
• Knowledge of other construction trades
• Ability to stand, walk ,and lift up to 100 lbs in construction work environment
• May be exposed to high and precarious places
• Risk of electrical shock and outside weather conditions
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
• Other duties may be assigned
