Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE seeks a field service technician to provide on-site troubleshooting and repair of SEW-EURODRIVE electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. Occasional phone support and remote guidance are included. Travel domestically and internationally is required, with extended stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering/technology, plus 1–3 years' experience with industrial VFD drives.
• Ability to read parts lists, catalogs, price books, and general factory instructions and SEW procedures.
• Ability to understand nomenclature and number assignments of SEW products.
• Experience with AC variable frequency controllers and servo motor controllers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting/repair of SEW-EURODRIVE electronic and electro/mechanical products at customer’s site.
• Provide technical assistance over the phone.
• Inspect and repair SEW products.
• Catalog and maintain technical information relating to SEW products and applications.
• Frequently travel domestically and overseas for company business.
• Overnight stays, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
