Job summary

United Rentals in Irving, TX is seeking a Dispatcher to organize the daily dispatch of equipment for the branch, ensuring safe and timely delivery to meet customer needs. You will schedule drivers, handle orders for deliveries and pickups, and coordinate emergency field repairs while maintaining strong safety practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and organize dispatch of all equipment for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules in order to fulfill customer requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
