Job Summary: Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our distribution business in Avondale, AZ. We offer sign-on bonus up to $5K, relocation, competitive pay, and benefits!

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins health, safety & environmental policies
• Engage in ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Experience in completing complex internal engine repairs
• Ability to perform engine overhauls independently
• Detailed understanding of aftertreatment systems and components
• Proficiency with engine diagnostic software

Hours of Operation & Requirements

Hours primarily between 6am-6pm, with variations based on business needs. Evenings and occasional weekends required. All technicians will participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

DOT Requirements

• Valid license required
• 5-year motor vehicle report free from major violations
• Pass a Department of Transportation physical
• At least 3 years of driving experience
• Compliance with DOT driving regulations, including Hours of Service and use of Electronic Log Devices
• Must be 21 or older
• Subject to drug testing requirements

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from a technical institution
• Valid local driving permit

Experience

• Basic field service work experience
• Intermediate knowledge of engine products
• Customer service experience

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary from $26.54 to $39.81 per hour, with location-dependent benefits including 401(k), health insurance, and more.
