Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of multiple systems including diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Job description

Field Service Diesel Technician Opportunity

Summary:

Field Diesel Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services, providing repair recommendations to customers. They work with other technicians to ensure all scheduled work is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties:

  1. Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy-Duty Trucks following manufacturer procedures.
  2. Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly, including work orders and inspection information.
  3. Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  4. Adhere to all company and industry safety standards.
  5. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other vital parts to ensure proper operation.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple systems (A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Proficiency with computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to work on call and irregular hours, including roadside assistance in all weather conditions.
