Job summary

CTwater is seeking a Field Services Representative General (construction) to join the Field Service Construction team in East Windsor, CT. You will perform operation and maintenance on water distribution assets, including mains, services, hydrants, and meters, delivering world-class service to customers.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least six months of related experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on below-ground assets (mains, services) to spec.
• Maintain distribution assets: flushing mains, hydrant upkeep, service boxes.
• Install mains, hydrants, services, and meters.
• Support facility upkeep: snow plowing, tree work, road repair.
• Handle meter installations, valve operations, meter reading, investigations.
• Assist with service delivery issues and customer account maintenance.
• Coordinate call-before-you-dig activities.
• Cross-connection inspection/testing per State Dept. of Health.
• Adhere to safety rules per Safety Manual and OSHA regulations.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Job Description

The Field Services Representative General (construction) is responsible for the delivery of world class service to our customers by performing operation and maintenance functions on the Company’s distribution assets including, but not limited to, water mains, services, and hydrants.

• Efficiently performs repairs on below ground assets including mains, services, etc. within the required specifications.
• Performs activities to maintain distribution assets including flushing mains, hydrant upkeep, service boxes, etc.
• Installs assets including mains, hydrants, services, and meters.
• Maintains Company facilities including snow plowing, tree work, road repair, property upkeep and dam maintenance.
• Performs customer service work including meter installations, valve operations, meter reading, and investigative work.
• Performs customer service activities associated with service delivery and the maintenance of customer accounts.
• Performs call before you dig activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Performs cross connection inspection and testing in compliance with the State Department of Health.

Minimum Qualification

This could include performing maintenance of customer accounts, resolving problems related to distribution system or other urgent service delivery problems.
