Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Technician II to support field service engineering for Active Protection System (APS) kits on military vehicles. You will assist with installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites, including travel up to CONUS/OCONUS.

Ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required. This role requires basic analytical skills, adherence to procedures, and close supervision with clear safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational/technical training plus 1–2 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in a technical discipline.
• Knowledge areas include electronic equipment installation, lab supply management, testing documentation, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems.
• Performs setup, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of electrical control systems and prototypes.
• Assists with testing of systems and instruments and documents procedures and results.
• Maintains inventory of testing supplies and tools.
