Job summary

Bloom Energy seeks a Field Service Apprentice on a fixed-term basis, stationed in Santa Teresa, NM. The role will support maintenance of Bloom servers, learn fuel cell systems, and participate in safety protocols while contributing to reliable power delivery.

You will train in electrical and mechanical systems, work independently and with teams, and travel for training as needed. The six-month term or ~1,200 hours begins mid-2026, with a focus on safety and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
• Training program to understand fuel cell mechanical systems, piping, plumbing and valve operation.
• Exposure to 3-phase systems, UPS systems, electrical and mechanical maintenance, electrical generation and distribution systems, power electronics, Automatic Transfer Switch Systems, and microprocessor-based control platforms.
• Experience with various test and measurement equipment, electrical codes and personnel safety products and procedures is preferred.
• Basic understanding of requirements of working safely.
• Understanding of basic troubleshooting techniques and skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Demonstrates sound judgment.
• Team player who exhibits high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Communicates effectively in English, written and verbal.
• Follows procedures and executes sequenced work instructions from written and/or verbal communications.
• Facilitates shift work as needed.
• Able to travel as needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Learn to become a primary driver for maintaining Bloom Energy servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Learn and perform fuel cell system maintenance, site upkeep, safety protocols, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrate proficiency in working independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• We will train you to gain a comprehensive understanding of diverse electrical and mechanical systems, enabling effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.
