Durr Systems, LLC in Michigan seeks a field service technician to install, commission and tune paint application equipment at customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control issues onsite and remotely.

Responsibilities include running lab process trials, training customers and staff, and preparing clear scopes and cost estimates for upgrades.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years hands-on experience with paint application equipment.
• Experience with electrostatic rotary bell applicators and paint chemistry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; PLCs/HMIs experience preferred.
• Robot path teaching with Fanuc, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, or Dürr is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Responsabilités

• Install, commission and tune paint application equipment and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control issues on site and remotely.
• Run paint process trials in the lab and help optimize finish quality.
• Train customers, distributors and internal staff on equipment and processes.
• Review service requests and site conditions, prepare scopes and cost estimates for upgrades.
• Support sales by identifying aftermarket and spare-parts opportunities during site visits.
• Keep service records and update as-built drawings.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures.
