Job summary

DK Security is seeking security officers for Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. The role involves access control, patrolling, CCTV monitoring, and delivering high-quality customer service while upholding site rules.

Core responsibilities include supervising site staff, coordinating with the corporate scheduler, and ensuring safety across construction yards tied to energy infrastructure. Training and certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and own personal vehicle.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Criminal background check required; no felonies.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and periodically.
• Friendly, professional image and strong communication.
• Read/write English; basic computer skills needed.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred or required.
• Own reliable vehicle; mileage reimbursement available.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; limits on violations.
• Physical ability to sit/stand/walk and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Access control: verify authorization to enter sites.
• Patrolling interior and exterior areas for safety and maintenance issues.
• Camera monitoring across multiple site CCTV systems.
• Provide quality customer service and enforce rules with de-escalation.
• Site supervision: support scheduling, timesheets, and on-site training.
