DK Security, Inc. is seeking a Regional Security Supervisor for the Southwest Michigan region. The position is based in Kalamazoo, MI and pays $19.43 per hour.

You will oversee security officers at construction yard sites, coordinate coverage, and ensure safety and compliance across locations. Responsibilities include access control, patrols, camera monitoring, customer service, and site supervision of DK Security teams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle; must pass background and drug tests.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication; able to read/write English.
• Willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Access Control – ensure only authorized individuals have site access.
• Patrolling – monitor interior/exterior of buildings for security/safety issues.
• Camera Monitoring – oversee CCTV for safety across sites.
• Customer Service – enforce rules with de-escalation and service quality.
• Site Supervision – supervise DK Security team, scheduling and payroll tasks.

This position oversees security officers assigned to work at various construction yards for our state's critical energy infrastructure.

PERKS:

CURRENT OPENING:

• Full-Time: Core Hours will be Mon-Fri 2nd or 3rd shift, start times may vary.
• On-Call: Supervisors are obligated to respond to incidents on sites 24/7. This includes finding someone to cover any missed shifts or covering the shift themselves.

LOCATION: Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and surrounding areas

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties are determined by the client location. Some responsibilities may include:

• Access Control - Ensure only authorized individuals are given access to the site. This could be based on appointments, ID cards, etc.
• Patrolling - Walk the interior and/or exterior of the various buildings on the site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
• Camera Monitoring - Monitor CCTV for safety and security concerns across the site.
• Customer Service - Always enforce rules and policies through de-escalation techniques and ensuring quality customer service in every interaction.
• Site Supervision - Oversee and coach other members of the DK Security team at the various sites, including scheduling, submitting timesheets for payroll, team-building, communication with the corporate scheduler and operations manager, initial disciplinary action, and on-site training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to read and write in the English language and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions and reports.
• Intermediate computer skills required – Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Email, Internet, and able to learn new software.
• Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
• Must have your own reliable vehicle to travel to and from various job sites between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. Mileage reimbursement is available.
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record. (Required for driving sites)
• Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
• Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
• No other major violations in the last 3 years.
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situation
