Job summary

Fairbanks Scales Inc. is seeking a dedicated Scale Technician to install, calibrate, and repair a variety of scales and weighing systems. You will ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment used by businesses daily.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or trade training, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and 1–2 years of related experience. CDL Class B eligibility and a safety-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or 2-year degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 1–2 years experience in maintenance, mechanical, industrial, electrical, or similar field a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with teammates, sales managers and customers.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL (interstate).
• Flexibility to work beyond standard hours and occasional weekends.
• Safety mindset and willingness to protect coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, service, and repair various scales and weighing systems.
• Document calibration and repair actions using inspection checklists and forms.
• Provide excellent service while interacting with customers and teammates.
