Fairbanks Scales Inc. in McAllen, TX seeks a Scale Technician to install, calibrate, and repair a range of scales and weighing systems, from bench scales to truck scales.

You will help ensure accuracy and reliability for customers across industries. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (technical certification a plus), 1–2 years in maintenance or electrical/mechanical fields, strong problem-solving, and a clean driving record capable of obtaining a Class B CDL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or 2-year degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 1–2 years in maintenance, mechanical, industrial, electrical, or related field is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work with teammates, sales managers, and customers to get the job done safely the first time.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL.
• Ability to work beyond Monday–Friday for eight hours; some weekends may be required.
• Safety mindset and willingness to speak up to protect oneself and others.

Responsibilities

• Installing, calibrating, servicing, and repairing various scales and weighing systems.
• Documenting calibration and repair actions via inspection checklists and forms.
• Provide excellent service while interacting with customers and teammates.
