Job summary

Fairbanks Scales Inc. is seeking a dedicated Scale Technician to install, calibrate, and repair a range of scales and weighing systems across industries. You will document calibration work, interact with customers and team members, and ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with technical training a plus. A valid Class B CDL and willingness to work outside regular hours are essential. Training and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate/associate degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• 1–2 years in maintenance, mechanical, industrial, electrical, or related field is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with teammates, sales managers and customers to complete work safely and accurately.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain/maintain a Class B CDL (interstate).
• Willingness to work beyond standard hours (overtime/weekends) as needed.
• Safety mindset and accountability in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, service, and repair various scales and weighing systems.
• Document calibration and repair actions using inspection checklists and forms.
• Provide excellent service when interacting with customers and teammates.
