Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Field SCADA Technician for the Richmond, VA area. This onsite role supports process control systems and ensures reliable water and wastewater services while enabling startup of new control systems under team guidance.

The candidate will troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and network devices, coordinate with electricians and instrument techs, and document field modifications while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years' experience in related field.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs / RSLogix; Modicon PLCs / Unity; Wonderware Intouch or System Platform.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and maintains PLC, OIT, and HMI programs for water/wastewater facilities.
• Maintains communications devices (switches, radios, routers, modems).
• Collaborates with operations staff to resolve monitoring and control issues within SLAs.
