Job summary

Maguire is seeking a Field Industrial Sandblaster & Painter to support crew foreman and members in the ground crew while work proceeds on water towers. The role involves rigging the tank, operating blast pots and paint pumps, and ensuring safety, quality, and production standards.

Essential functions include tying off, setting up rigging, operating equipment, surface preparation, and documenting PPE. Most time is spent in the field under challenging weather, with up to 200-foot heights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Willing to attend new hire orientation and safety training.

Responsibilities

• 100% tie-off when on a water tower.
• Set up rigging, scaffold, and equipment as directed.
• Operate blast pots and paint pumps.
• Prepare surfaces for painting: pressure washing and light sandblasting.
• Inspect and document safety equipment daily.
• Unrig and secure equipment after job completion.
• Keep ground, truck, trailer, and job shack organized.
• Communicate tasks and procedures with foreman.
