Job summary

Statesville Analytical is seeking a Field Sampler to join our NC team on a part‑time to full‑time basis. The role involves driving a designated route, setting up samplers for grab and composite water and wastewater samples, and performing basic field tests.

You will maintain chain‑of‑custody documentation, provide courier support to the lab, and deliver excellent customer service while adhering to safety and driving regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a valid driver’s license (clean record).
• Experience performing water and wastewater sampling to ensure sample integrity.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and carry short distances.
• Mechanical ability with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Punctual, time‑efficient with a sense of urgency.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Strict adherence to safety rules, driving laws, routes, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Statesville Analytical is looking to add a part‑time to full‑time Field Sampler to our team. We provide top‑quality analytical services to local government facilities across North Carolina and have specialized in water and wastewater laboratory services for the past 35 years. Our modern facility is staffed with highly trained and certified professionals. We are a 100% woman owned company located in Statesville, North Carolina.

The Field Sampler provides knowledge on site sampling protocols and practices while completing documents and helping customers.

Job Overview

This employee is responsible for driving a designated route each day to customer sites, setting up samplers to pull grab and composite water/wastewater samples, performing field parameter testing, and providing sample courier and laboratory support as required.

• Sample collection and pick‑up services for water, wastewater, and industrial clients, including sampler setup for composite samples
• Performing basic field parameter testing (e.g., Chlorine, pH, etc.)
• Customer cooler preparations (quarterly, monthly, weekly)
• Chain of custody documentation following good documentation practices
• Provide customer service as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a valid driver’s license (clean record)
• Experience performing water and wastewater sampling to ensure sample integrity (a plus)
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and carry short distances
• Mechanical ability and problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong punctuality, time management, and sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills with a strong customer service drive
• Strict adherence to safety rules, driving laws, scheduled routes, and other guidelines
