Job summary

Heraeus Electro-Nite in Colorado seeks a hands-on Sales Service Technician to support top steel manufacturers across the western U.S. You will be the face of Heraeus Electro-Nite at customer sites, ensuring critical measurement and sensor equipment performs reliably.

The role requires an associate degree or technical certification, strong troubleshooting, and willingness to travel 75% domestically. Expect an independent, field-based position with safety-focused responsibilities and opportunities

Qualifications

• Must reside in Colorado or be willing to relocate? (Colorado resident is requested)
• Certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or related field preferred
• Experience in steel mills, iron foundry, or molten metals facilities is desired; heavy industrial environment acceptable
• Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge with pneumatics experience required
• Willingness to travel domestically ~75% (primarily by air)
• Able to work in hot/cold industrial environments, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license for duration of employment

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with an associate degree, technical certification, or military technical training in engineering technology, industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechanical systems, instrumentation, mechatronics, or a related field who enjoy troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and working independently.

Working out of a home office in Colorado, you will travel throughout the western United States to support customers in CO, UT, TX, OK, WA, OR, and AZ. Every day brings new challenges, customer interactions, and opportunities to apply your technical skills in a real-world industrial environment.

What You'll Do

As a Sales Service Technician, you will be the face of Heraeus Electro-Nite at customer sites, helping ensure critical measurement and sensor equipment performs reliably and supports uninterrupted steel production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of instrumentation and related equipment.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on-site.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels at customer facilities.
• Build poles and maintain field equipment to company standards.
• Respond to customer needs and help resolve equipment issues quickly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate service, inventory, and maintenance records.
• Follow all safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture.

What is Required for the Role

• Must reside in Colorado. Relocation assistance is not available.
• Certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or related industrial field highly desired. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• Previous experience in steel mills, iron foundry or other molten metals processing facilities desired, alternatively, experience in heavy industrial environment ok.
• Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge along with pneumatics experience a must.
• Willingness to travel domestically 75% (primarily by flying and occasionally by driving).
• Willingness to work in a hot and cold industrial environment & adhere to strict safety policies, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and have the ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 50lbs.
• Willingness to respond, on occasion, to customer emergencies during off hours or weekends.
• Ability to follow directions and is ok with repetition/repetitious work.
• Valid driver’s license for duration of employment is a must.
