Job summary

Herrman Lumber is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative for our Branson, Missouri location. You will develop relationships with contractors and homeowners, identify customer needs, and provide solutions from our range of lumber and building materials.

You will advise on materials, prepare bids from construction drawings, and help price strategies to grow profitability while delivering exceptional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in building materials sales or related industry.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction plans.
• Proven track record in sales with strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to be covered under company insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, builders, and homeowners
• Provide expert advice and product knowledge to assist customers in selecting appropriate materials
• Estimate material quantities and develop accurate project bids based on construction drawings
• Collaborate with management to develop pricing strategies that drive profitability and growth
• Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction throughout the sales process
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge across framing lumber, windows, doors, and specialty materials
