Job summary

Kirchner Building Centers is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive field sales, build lasting customer relationships, and create new business opportunities across the assigned territory in Indiana.

You will travel to meet customers, prepare estimates and take-offs, present product options, and ensure timely follow-up and service. The role requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to work after hours if needed.

Qualifications

• Travel to meet existing and new customers within the sales area.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Schedule appointments and identify/qualify prospects; present current product needs.
• Plan daily sales calls and meet customers in person.
• Identify prospects via research, networking, and cold calling.
• Estimate projects and perform take-offs for contractors and customers.
• Measure doors, windows, siding, roofing and other products as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and coworkers.
• Provide product options and services; respond promptly to inquiries.
• Deliver products to customers when necessary; be familiar with inventory in territory.
• Serve customers after normal business hours when needed.
• Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
• Attend staff/sales meetings and keep vehicle and workspace organized.
• Follow up on opportunities and deliveries; keep knowledge up to date.
