ScottsMiracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our Field Sales team in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on building world‑class relationships with major home center partners such as The Home Depot and Lowe’s, expanding in‑store presence, and guiding Merchandisers.

You’ll develop retail sales plans, manage a Merchandiser team, hire and coach staff, and drive budgeted results. The position offers leadership growth, bonus potential, and a competitive vehicle reimbursement program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail, merchandising, or account management.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools.
• Ability to guide and mentor Merchandisers.
• Strong problem-solving and service orientation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs and work in weather elements.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic relationships with major home center retail partners.
• Assess local market opportunities and plan sales/marketing strategies.
• Supervise Merchandisers including scheduling and feedback.
• Recruit, interview, and hire Merchandisers for the team.
• Coach and develop career paths for team members.
• Provide product training and cross-brand knowledge across portfolio.
• Create retail sales/marketing plans and events.
• Assist retailers with merchandising and in-store materials.
• Manage budget and control expenditures.
