Job summary

Auto Parts and Equipment is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to assist customers, manage transactions, and maintain our store appearance. The role includes outside calls to expand our customer base and promote vendor relations.

The ideal candidate has customer service experience, strong cash register skills, and a willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior knowledge of auto parts is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service.
• Willingness to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to quickly and accurately work a register.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping.
• Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales.
• Collect payments by cash and credit card
• Issue receipts and refunds to customers
• Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
• Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
• Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.
