Job summary

SunSource's Automation & Factory Solutions (AFS) seeks an Outside Sales Account Manager to grow our Kentucky southern territory by strengthening relationships and developing new accounts. You’ll be a trusted consultant offering automation solutions and technical product guidance to customers.

In this role you will conduct onsite and virtual sales calls, build a strong pipeline, collaborate with Inside Sales and Technical Specialists, and stay current on core product lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; engineering degree preferred.
• 3+ years of B2B technical sales in industrial automation or related field.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel as needed.
• Strong communication skills; ability to sell products in competitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute a territory-based strategy in southern Kentucky.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline with outbound prospecting and events.
• Conduct onsite and virtual sales calls with technical consultation and product demos.
• Partner with Inside Sales to document activity, manage opportunities, and develop quotes.
• Develop understanding of core product lines and coordinate with Technical Specialists for implementation.
