Job summary

MOORING Disaster Restoration + Commercial Construction in the Dallas/Fort Worth area seeks a Field Safety Technician to anchor our safety program, partnering with the Safety Director to strengthen workplace safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continual improvement across field and office operations.

The role coordinates safety initiatives, conducts site visits, enforces policies, leads training sessions, and supports incident investigations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel for extended durations as needed.
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities with safety focus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site risk assessments and provide real-time guidance to site supervisors.
  • Enforce and enhance safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Coordinate and lead engaging safety training sessions for employees.
  • Assist investigations of workplace incidents and document findings to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate across levels to promote a culture where safety comes first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments and provide real-time guidance to site supervisors.
  • Enforce and enhance company safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Coordinate and lead engaging safety training sessions that keep employees informed and motivated.
  • Identify areas for improvement, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and industry best practices.
  • Assist in investigations of workplace incidents, documenting findings and preventing future occurrences.
  • Work closely with employees at all levels to foster a culture where safety comes first.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Occupational Safety & Health preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Ability to travel out of town for extended durations, depending on project needs.
  • A safety advocate with knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices.
  • A strong communicator who can lead, train, and engage employees at all levels.
  • A problem solver with a people-first approach, ensuring compliance without compromising teamwork.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and can perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desired.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
