Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is hiring a Safety Supervisor to lead Safety Specialists, partnering with Operations to protect frontline workers and customers. You will drive safety training, incidents investigations, and continuous program improvement on field operations across multiple locations, with significant travel.

The role requires an Associate degree in safety-related field, 3+ years safety experience, OSHA 30, and ability to travel 30–40% locally and away from home.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety role.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a safety leadership role.
• OSHA 30 required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to routinely travel locally and away from home approximately 30–40% of the time.
• Preferred: OSHA 511, OHST, or CHST certifications.
• Experience in line clearance, ISA Arborist, or related industry.
• CTSP credential or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, develop, and provide feedback to Safety Specialists who support Operations teams.
• Partner with Operations to support frontline workers and customers, promote learning, and share best practices.
• Analyze regional safety program effectiveness and work with Regional Leadership to improve safety culture through initiatives and training.
• Provide governance and field oversight for safety programs implementation and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate effectiveness of safety management systems and operational controls.
• Investigate incidents using current methods and causal analysis to identify contributing factors and corrective actions.
• Identify and prioritize high-energy exposures and ensure critical controls are implemented.
• Prepare evaluations and provide reports and recommendations for Operations and Safety Leadership.
