Job summary

Lewis Tree Service in Michigan is seeking a Divisional Safety Trainer to lead certification, training, and safety program growth for crews and leadership. The role emphasizes compliant training delivery, safety leadership, and ongoing development across the division.

Requires 3–5 years of line clearance experience, credentials (CTSP, ISA), and travel for on-site and storm response. You will drive training initiatives and ensure new hires complete required certifications within 45 days.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years Line Clearance Experience.
• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Certified Tree Care Safety Professional credential – must have or obtain as well as maintain credentials.
• Valid Driver’s License as required.
• Must have or obtain an ISA Certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient presentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to effectively train new and experienced employees (Climb and aloft).
• The position requires regular travel, including overnights and out-of-state storm response by ground and/or air transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new employees complete all required training within 45 calendar days of hire.
• Identify and administer supplemental training as needed when identified through crew observations.
• Administer First Aid and CPR training/certification.
• Roping and Rigging Training Certification, Recertification, and Evaluations.
• Ensure employees are compliant with TKSC and testing.
• Provide support on the Driver’s certification and enterprise safety initiatives.
