Job summary

Lewis Tree Service in Philadelphia, PA, and surrounding areas is seeking a bilingual Safety Specialist to lead safety initiatives onsite with crews across multiple locations. The role requires OSHA/ANSI knowledge, line clearance experience, and the ability to train teams on safety procedures and tool use.

As a growing ESOP-owned company, you will partner with Operations, conduct site observations, deliver safety moments, and drive continuous improvement while traveling regionally (30–40%).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent plus safety credentials (CUSP, CTSP, ASP, GSP, ISA Arborist) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of line clearance or related industry experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA/ANSI requirements; OSHA 30 Hour or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a visible leader, modeling Lewis’s Operating Principles.
• Build partnerships with Operations to drive safety improvements.
• Lead morning huddles and safety moments for crews.
• Conduct worksite observations to identify risks and verify compliance with policies/regulations; provide feedback to leadership.
• Train and coach employees on safety tools, rigging, and related procedures.
• Investigate and analyze incidents to facilitate organizational learning.
• Travel 30–40% regionally, including overnight stays.
