Job summary

Wiregrass Construction is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our team and support safety, health and environmental initiatives across the assigned area. The role involves conducting field inspections, performing hazard assessments, delivering safety training, and maintaining training records.

Travel across the region will be required, and you will help ensure compliance and safe operations. Requirements include a high school diploma, OSHA 29 CFR cert, and 2–3 years of safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 4-year degree in safety or engineering is preferred.
• OSHA 29 CFR certification required.
• MSHA 30 CFR training is optional.
• 2-3 years of safety experience in construction or general industry required.

Responsibilities

• Field Inspections to support safe behaviors and operations.
• Perform workplace hazard assessments and implement solutions.
• Facilitate safety training and coordinate with local leadership.
• Travel throughout the region to support local teams.
• Verify and assist with completion of job task training at crew level.
• Provide training records for entry into the Learning Management System.
