Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Company is seeking a Safety Specialist to support and audit safety programs on our projects.

You will report to the Project Safety Manager and help implement the Site Specific Safety Plan in the field while ensuring compliance with OSHA/MSHA regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating with operations, guiding subcontractors, conducting hazard assessments, and delivering safety training to craft staff.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30, 500 and 510 certifications are preferred.
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word/Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, review, and communication of the Site Specific Safety Plan to subcontractors.
• Collaborate with craft daily to promote safety program buy-in.
• Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to enforce policies and plans.
• Plan and problem-solve with field operations using leading indicators.
• Provide safety training on OSHA/MSHA and client requirements.
• Maintain project safety files compliant with OSHA/MSHA regulations.
