United Utility Services is seeking a Safety Specialist to promote safe, compliant operations across the organization. The role conducts field observations, leads safety discussions, verifies policy adherence, and reinforces expectations among distribution line crews.

Location: Willis/The Woodlands, TX area. Ideal candidates will have strong OSHA knowledge, Journeyman Lineman experience, and willingness to travel extensively within the region.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a journeyman lineman working in electric distribution.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry safety practices, and utility safety policies.
• Ability to travel extensively within assigned region.

Responsabilidades

• Field Safety Observations: Conduct regular field safety observations to evaluate crew compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Training & Communication: Lead safety discussions, tailgate meetings, daily briefings, and weekly stand-downs, promoting safety topics and policies.
• Incident Response & Analysis: Respond to incidents, conduct interviews, gather evidence, and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Policy & Regulatory Compliance: Verify compliance with OSHA/DOT and internal safety policies, review JSAs and site safety plans, support audits.
• Leadership & Culture Building: Foster safety ownership, recognize good catches and near misses, and support safety initiatives.
