The University of Washington UW Facilities Safety is seeking a Field Safety Specialist to support departmental leaders in integrating safety programs, conducting worksite audits, and preparing actionable safety recommendations. You will analyze incidents, review regulations, and help develop policies, SOPs, and trainings to reduce workplace injuries.

Reporting to the Director of Safety, you will travel to shop sites, attend safety meetings, and collaborate with supervisors to implement

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Five years of professional OSH experience.
• Knowledge of WISHA/OSHA regulations and how to apply them.
• Ability to interpret and assess complex safety regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct regular worksite audits and safety walkthroughs.
• Attend shop safety meetings and provide updates.
• Review L&I regulations and develop policies and SOPs.
• Identify compliance gaps and implement improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and safety program evaluations.
• Prepare reports and presentations with actionable recommendations.
