Job summary

DNT Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety across heavy civil and data center construction projects. The role emphasizes field presence and collaboration with Operations, Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, and Safety staff to ensure compliant, safe work practices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on field safety experience on large-scale data center projects, proficiency with safety data analysis, and the ability to use tools like HCSS

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience, preferably heavy civil
• Previous safety experience on large-scale data center projects is required
• Experience supporting heavy civil operations (underground utilities, excavation, earthwork, concrete)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations
• Experience conducting jobsite inspections and incident investigations
• Ability to identify hazards and develop corrective actions
• Strong communication with field staff, leadership, and clients
• Proficient in safety documentation and data reporting
• Experience traveling to active jobsites regularly
• HCSS Safety/HeavyJob Safety experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections across active jobsites
• Create site-specific safety plans
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions with field leadership
• Support safety activities including excavation, earthwork, concrete, traffic control, lifting and rigging, fall protection, confined spaces
• Maintain safety documentation in HCSS Safety/HeavyJob Safety
• Review JHAs/JSAs, safety inspections, and safety meetings
• Coordinate incident and near-miss investigations and root-cause analysis
• Deliver employee safety training and new-hire orientation
• Coach Superintendents and Foremen on hazard recognition and accountability
• Assist with OSHA inspections, client audits, and regulatory reviews
• Work with Operations to plan high-risk activities and develop safety solutions
• Communicate incidents and trends to Head of Safety
• Provide guidance to Safety personnel as needed
• Exercise stop-work authority when imminent danger is present
