Qualifications

• Safety management college degree preferred or relevant job experience.
• Heavy construction and/or Subway experience recommended.
• Railroad construction safety experience preferred.
• Must have valid TWIC Card.
• OSHA Certification in Construction (10, 30, 510, or 500).
• Ability to work all shifts (day/night/weekends).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety plans/training in the workplace.
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters.
• Coach/correct safety concerns in the field.
• Perform field safety audits.
• Inspect equipment and construction projects for safety.
• Investigate accidents or incidents.
• Recommend solutions for issues and improvements.
• Prepare safety permits/approvals.
• Provide professional expertise.
