Job summary

Bengal Crane & Rigging / Bengal Transportation Services is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety and compliance across crane & rigging, transportation, construction, maintenance, and industrial operations. Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive safety/EHS experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience managing safety across multiple jobsites or locations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
• Experience with incident investigation, auditing, and corrective‑action management.
• Strong communication with craft employees, supervisors, clients, and leadership.
• Willingness to travel to Bengal jobsites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve safety and compliance programs.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, ANSI, ASME and client requirements.
• Conduct routine site safety inspections and field audits.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Provide safety oversight for crane, rigging, lifting, and heavy industrial operations.
• Review JHAs/JSA's, permits, lift plans, and other safety requirements.
• Lead investigations of injuries, near misses, and incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate and support employee safety training and certifications.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, and reporting.
• Assist with client audits and regulatory inspections.
• Coach supervisors and field employees on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
