Job summary

Alterman is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to lead safety execution on electrical construction projects. You will direct Safety Coordinators, coach field leadership, and ensure pre-task planning and hazard controls meet standards. Strong incident investigation and documentation experience is essential.

Travel to field sites is frequent; OSHA/ICS credentials and a robust safety background are required to support client safety programs and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification preferred; OSHA 1910.269 training required.
• OSHA 500/510 certifications strongly preferred; ET&D Trainer a plus.
• FEMA ICS 100/200/700 certification required or within 90 days.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Train-the-Trainer certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety execution and direct Safety Coordinators on project safety tasks.
• Maintain job-site presence and promote safe execution during high risk work.
• Verify pre-task planning and hazard controls reflect standards.
• Support electrical risk controls, LOTO planning, and PPE selection.
• Assist incident responses, gather facts, and coordinate with leadership.
• Ensure compliance with site safety plans and regulatory rules.
