Job summary

Nucor Corporation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Construction Safety professional to support field and shop safety programs across job sites. You will train teams, conduct safety audits, and investigate incidents to uphold safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years in construction safety, 5 years in construction, OSHA 30, and the ability to obtain OSHA 510/500 within six months. Frequent travel (50–100%) and overtime may be required. We value organized, team-oriented communicators.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction safety & health experience
• 5 years minimum construction related experience
• OSHA 30 training certificate
• Knowledge of OSHA standards CFR 1926
• Ability to obtain OSHA 510 and then 500 within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Support Field Superintendents and Branch Managers with field/shop safety programs
• Ensure compliance with company safety program and OSHA regulations
• Take corrective action with Foreman, Superintendents, Teammates, or General Contractors when safety concerns arise
• Visit project sites to audit site safety plans and prepare monthly safety reports
• Assist in safety training and mentoring programs
• Assist in incident reviews and root cause investigations, including photographs and witness statements
• Collaborate to evaluate and improve the safety program effectiveness
• Assist in injury and claims management per OSHA recordkeeping requirements
