Job summary

Post Brothers is seeking an Assistant Construction Safety Manager to serve as an on-site safety resource, conducting daily field oversight and supporting contractors in maintaining a safe, compliant work environment. This role reports to the on-site Construction Safety Manager.

Responsibilities include leading field safety walks, ensuring fall protection and PPE compliance, supporting pre-task planning, and conducting safety kickoff meetings with trade partners, while applying OSHA and CQSA

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Construction Safety on major sites.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations; leadership and communications skills.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 24 ft, stand and walk for 8 hours, and perform physically demanding duties.
• Ability to access swing scaffolding on a high-rise.
• Maintain composure during emergencies or high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous field safety walks and correct hazards, reporting findings to the Safety Manager.
• Audit all fall protection on site daily and enforce PPE compliance with contractors.
• Support contractors in pre-task planning, toolbox talks, incident response, safety documentation and corrective action follow-up.
• Lead or assist safety kickoff meetings and trade partner preconstruction meetings; reinforce CQSA safety policies.
• Apply OSHA, CQSA Safety Manual, and contract requirements to field execution and update safety policies as needed.
