Job summary

Kiewit is offering a Safety Internship in Infrastructure Central (Summer 2027) with opportunities to learn the Project Safety Program and contribute to site safety. You’ll work on real projects, support field teams, and gain hands-on experience while developing regulatory knowledge and practical safety skills.

The internship requires pursuing a related degree, strong work ethic, and willingness to relocate or travel to various project sites across North America.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study.
• Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements.
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skill.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction projects for regulatory compliance and company policies.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and help track performance metrics.
• Support safety audits, coaching, and onsite training.
• Travel and relocation may be required for projects.
