Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern for our Infrastructure West projects (Summer 2027) in Lenexa, KS and other project sites. You'll learn, implement, and support safety programs, helping teams maintain a culture where nobody gets hurt while gaining real-world construction experience.

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field of study.
Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements.
Working knowledge of computers; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel and relocate as required.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Safety Program and develop site safety policies and procedures.
Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations and company policies.
Assist in safety program audits, coaching, and on-site training.
