UGI Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to provide local field support for occupational health and safety across Northeast PA.

You will coach crews, participate in safety committees, conduct incident investigations, and help implement policies and training to raise safety capacity. The requirements include a bachelor's degree in safety or a related field, about 3 years of safety experience in gas/utility or construction settings, and knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Safety or in technical field or combined equivalent of education and experience preferred.
Approximately 3 years of experience in safety in gas/electric utility, pipeline, transmission or construction safety preferred.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred but not required.

Mansioni

Coach and support assigned geographical territory in safety enhancement by assisting in safety committees, incident investigations, review of coaching videos, delivering safety communications and completing field visits.
Write, review and update Company Health and Safety policies or communications with support from team, supervisor and other subject matter experts.
Proactively identify high energy hazards and corresponding controls at crew visits and document on crew visit log sheets; classify incidents and near misses per SCL Model.
Deliver Smith driver safety training in collaboration with driver safety trainer and support other targeted Safety trainings.
