Job summary

Ryan Companies has exciting opportunities for the Summer 2027 to join our team as a Safety Engineer Intern at our Atlanta site location. This internship is full-time for university undergraduates from May to August, focusing on construction safety practices on Mission Critical project sites.

The Safety Engineer Intern assists the Safety Manager, works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, and gains hands-on experience in health and safety on construction sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in occupational safety and health, safety management, construction safety sciences, construction safety management, field and occupational safety.
• Within 6 months to 2 years of graduating with a four-year degree in a safety related field of study.
• Able to work 40 hours a week for a two to three-month term.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in implementing the Ryan Safety Program.
• Serve as a technical resource for field operations.
• Work with Project Managers and Superintendents on Health and Safety issues on site.
• Conduct site-safety audits and provide training on safe work procedures.
• Review subcontractor safety submittals and safety activities.
• Promote a safety culture and communicate safety information to crews.
