Job summary

W.E. Bowers Group is looking for a detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support safety execution on construction projects in the DMV area. The role involves promoting safe behaviors and ensuring compliance with safety policies.

Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in commercial construction safety and formal safety training, helping to foster a zero-accident culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction safety experience preferred.
• Preferred formal safety training including OSHA 500 in construction.
• Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with executing Bowers’ safety strategy and zero-accident culture.
• Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA standards.
• Conduct safety orientations and toolbox talks.

Skills

OSHA30 for construction

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to walk long distances

Ability to lift up to 50lbs
