Job summary

Ironsmith Fire, LLC is seeking an EHS Specialist to nurture our safety-first culture in both field and office environments. You will learn safety management, support workers’ compensation processes, and help maintain accurate records while collaborating with the team and clients to promote a safe work environment.

This role reports to the Branch Manager and works under the direction of the EHS Manager, with travel to branch offices or remote job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Safety Management, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of tracking and recording OSHA compliance and handling workers’ compensation claims.
• Experience in developing and maintaining physician panels is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling workers’ compensation claims, learning to process them effectively and in line with legal standards.
• Maintain safety records and OSHA logs, reporting progress to the EHS Manager.
• Facilitate monthly safety meetings, site inspections, and safety trainings.
• Travel to branch offices or remote job sites as required.
• Coordinate with EHS Manager to build a panel of trusted physicians.
• Communicate safety findings to the GC/onsite team and EHS Manager.
