Description

The Field Safety & Compliance Program Owner is responsible for the overall ownership, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs across multiple locations.

This role ensures consistent safety standards, processes, and accountability across operations while maintaining compliance with OSHA, company policies, and customer requirements.

The position serves as the centralized leader for safety programs, driving audits, incident investigations, training, and safety culture initiatives, while coordinating efforts across sites to ensure alignment, organization, and measurable performance.

Requirements
  • Own and lead the implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of safety programs across all assigned service locations.
  • Conduct and lead routine safety audits and inspections, ensuring findings are documented, communicated, and driven through closure.
  • Own incident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective action development, implementation, and trend tracking to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead and manage safety training programs, including development, delivery, tracking, and improvement of training effectiveness.
  • Manage and maintain customer third-party compliance portals, ensuring all safety documentation, training records, and required data are current and accurate.
  • Maintain and standardize safety processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency across all sites.
  • Coordinate safety efforts across multiple locations, ensuring alignment, communication, and sharing of best practices.
  • Lead monthly safety meetings with site leadership to review performance, risks, corrective actions, and compliance gaps.
  • Conduct OSHA-required and company-required inspections for facilities, vehicles, equipment, and job sites.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets and ensure hazardous chemical compliance.
  • Manage safety metrics, reporting, and documentation to provide visibility to leadership and support decision‑making.
  • Drive and reinforce a proactive safety culture focused on accountability, engagement, and injury prevention.
  • Attend job meetings for large projects to assess jobsite risks, requirements, and safety expectations.
  • Partner with operations, service, warehouse, and leadership teams to ensure safety is integrated into daily operations.
  • Other duties as required.
Reporting Structure
  • Solid line reporting to Site Leadership for day‑to‑day operational support and accountability.
  • Dotted line reporting to Regional EHS Manager for safety standards, direction, compliance alignment, and program oversight.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in safety, compliance, field service, or operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Experience managing safety documentation, training programs, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work across multiple locations and build alignment with operations teams.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance/documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience with customer compliance platforms (Avetta, ISNetworld, Veriforce, etc.).
  • Experience with field service or industrial environments.
Physical Demands, Travel, Compensation, etc.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and move through office, shop, warehouse, and jobsite environments.
  • Ability to walk jobsites, including uneven surfaces, mechanical rooms, basements, construction areas, and outdoor locations.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, hearing protection, high‑visibility vest, and safety footwear.
  • Ability to travel between company locations and customer jobsites as needed.
  • Ability to use a computer, phone, and tablet for daily work and documentation.
Location

Onsite, Haverhill, MA

Compensation

$70,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and certifications.

Final compensation may be based on factors such as OSHA 10/30 certification, field service safety experience, experience with customer compliance portals, and relevant industry background.

Travel

Regular local travel to customer jobsites, service locations, and project meetings is required, typically at least once per week.

Occasional overnight/out‑of‑state travel required, including travel to the Colorado location approximately 1–2 times per year.
