Job summary

Exotec designs elegant, plug-and-play warehouse robotics solutions and supports iconic brands in their automation journey. The Field Commissioning Engineer will bring Exotec systems to life on client sites, traveling extensively to deploy, test, and refine the full solution with hands-on hardware, software, and third-party equipment.

You'll work directly with customers, plan test plans, document progress, and coordinate with the Atlanta team to ensure successful system launches and ongoing

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical, or electrical engineering (or related field).
• Broad knowledge across software, mechanical, and electrical engineering with hands-on troubleshooting and software config.
• Clear, professional communication for on-site client interactions and de-escalation as needed.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of working hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage the integration of Exotec products and third‑party systems on client sites.
• Participate in the commissioning process to ensure system function and reliability.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute system validation tests and refine test plans.
• Measure, improve, and maintain reliability across deployment phases.
• Coordinate and implement software configurations for deployed systems.
• Troubleshoot across software, mechanical, electrical, and networking layers.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs and requirements.
• Provide updates and documentation through internal tools, coordinating with the Atlanta team
• Support on-site client interactions and de‑escalate time-sensitive situations
• Inform operational teams on project progress and risks
